A Jalepeno Pepper Grows in Brooklyn

On the way to the garden this morning (we belong to a community garden on land donated by Brooklyn College), I saw the guy down the street tending to his flowers outside of his house. There is a big tree in front of his yard where many wild green parrots live. Boy were they talking up a storm. I passed the blue Victorian house on 21st and there were the wild cats eating their breakfast from glass bowls. Rosie, our plot mate was there working her garden which always grows a bounty of collard greens. So, a Jalapeno pepper grows in Brooklyn; our first. Three tomatoes are also taking shape.
