Spring is Around the Corner, on Flatbush

Yesterday on my way to the subway, I stopped by Bobo’s dry cleaner, mailed some mail and when I turned the corner on Nostrand a mild spring-like breeze hit my face. The kids were out having a good time. Spring is just around the corner.

Last night as I lay on the couch watching Gossip Girl, I looked to the window and saw the most beautiful night sky. I said to my husband, “It’s a Blakelock kind of night.” He walked over, looked out and grabbed his paper and oil pastels. I continued to watch GG and he created a beautiful drawing.

Having been recently terminated from my job I will be spending lots of time in the corner of my bedroom. In addition to all the Starbucks and Connecticut Muffins in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
